CARIN BARWICK PHOTOGRAPHY
How Long is A Session? A typical session lasts 45 minutes. If you wish, you can extend the session for a fee per 30 minute block, depending on scheduling. Newborn sessions are considerably longer.
Where Do You Photograph? I typically photograph on location, such as a park or at your home. I also have a small in-home studio for indoor portraits.
What Other Costs Are There Besides The Sitting Fee? Your sitting fee is your entire cost. You will receive all photographs fully edited and in digital format. Your fee is for the photographer’s time and talent. Please visit the “Pricing” page for more details.
Do You Offer Prints? No, I provide digital images only. You will receive a Reprint Permission form on your disk of images allowing you to print wherever you like. I can recommend places to print your images.
What’s the Best Time for a Session? I like late afternoon light if it works for your schedule. I do not like to photograph outdoors when the sun is high. That said, I will work with YOUR best time. Please choose a photo session time that works best for your little one(s). I highly recommend you don’t schedule a session during your child’s normal nap-time. They should be well-fed and rested in order for us to get the most charming smiles!
Is there a Fee For Retouching? Basic retouching is Free! This includes minor skin blemishes, scratches, etc. More significant retouching is available at a rate of $20/hour. This includes fixing severe skin problems, tooth whitening, wrinkle removal, color isolation or other retouching that you request.
What Should We Wear? I recommend you coordinate your outfits without matching exactly. I have an information sheet with all kinds of details about this, just contact me for one.
Can I Change My Outfit? You can do whatever you like in terms of outfit within the time of the session, but keep in mind I mostly photograph outdoors. Privacy for changing could be a problem.
Can You Tell Me About Newborn Sessions? Please click the “Newborn” section of my portfolio for information a Newborn Session FAQ.
What if We’re Sick? If you or your children are feeling ill, please contact me to reschedule the session. Nobody will look their best if they are feeling under the weather. I’m flexible! We’ll just reschedule!
When is Payment Due? Payment is due in full at the time of the session*. I can accept personal checks and money orders made out to Carin Barwick. I can accept Paypal, and cash is always good, also! (*Wedding photography requires an advance deposit.)
Do You Offer Gift Certificates? Yes! Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
What If I live Far Away? There is no charge for sessions within 45 minutes of Independence, Kansas. Out of this range, I charge $25 for each 30 minutes of drive time.
How Many Photos Will I Get? You will typically receive between 25-35 photographs from a regular session, a mix of color and black & white. Wedding photography will be between 100-300 photos, depending on the package selected.
How Will I Get My Images? Your images will be placed on a thumb drive* and made available to you to pick up. If you wish your images to be mailed Priority Mail, there will be a $6 charge. (*Additional thumb drives are $8 each.)
